Ongoing assessments and evaluation of progress and achievements provides a way to determine and measure goals. FPSD strives to provide timely and meaningful student achievement information to students, parents and guardians, teachers, and the community. An important piece of Title I is parent involvement. Research shows that how well students do in school depends a great deal on how much their parents get involved in their education. By becoming an active participant in the Title I parent involvement plan at FP, you will serve as a role model, showing your student that you support his or her education; assure that you are aware of your student’s educational progress, thereby demonstrating how important that progress is to you; and teach your student that your input at the school is appreciated and that you support its efforts. During this school year, and at the beginning of every school year thereafter, parents will also be asked to sign a School-Parent-Student Compact, which outlines the responsibilities of the school, student and parent.
